Buyer Paying Tax or Customs

Buyers Pay for Tax or Customs on My Order

When buying from another country, you may be charged additional fees depending on the import taxes and/or customs duties of your home country.
You may need to pay the charges once you receive your order.

When buying from a seller in your home country, you may be charged sales tax or VAT, this depending on your country’s requirements for online purchases.

Seller can use our default tax system to apply tax on their sales automatically, the tax amount will depend on your country’s requirements. If the seller has used our default tax system, you will see the tax amount under the item price.

Customs fees:
Customs fees are placed on physical goods that are imported to and from countries or territories.
These fees are applied to international sales, but never domestic.
Buyers are generally responsible for paying additional costs such as taxes, duties, and customs clearance fees.
Most customs charges are due once the goods arrive in the destination country/state.

The charges are based on:

  • The price of the item
  • The type of item
  • The package weight and dimensions,
  • The country/state the package is delivered from
  • The taxes, duties, and fees of the destination country/state.

Some couriers allow (DDP) option.
DDP stands for “Delivery Duty Paid” It’s where the seller pays all customs, duties, and fees before sending goods to the buyer, in most cases the seller will have included the extra DDP cost in the price.
It's the fastest way to deliver goods to and from countries/states.

Remember; The price you see on BNSBids for an item sold by a seller is the price you pay, so you should not be charged any additional taxes on delivery unless the seller has stated any other charges.
